What is it about monochromatic blue paintings that is so appealing? Sometimes I need to clear my mind from all of the color choices available and just paint in blue. It's like wiping the slate clean and starting fresh, like cleansing your palette with some lemon before moving onto your next course. I also like the simplicity of this piece because I tend to overdue things and don't know when to put down my brush. It felt good to keep this one simple. I've been sick for almost a month! Yep, a horrible cold has taken me down. I fought it for the first week but then just surrendered to it and started allowing my body to heal.
