It’s been busy around here. I had my wisdom teeth removed last week, it wasn’t too bad, but it has thrown me off a bit. I’m not in pain just feeling more tired than usual. I have a number of things happening behind the scenes too. The new website is almost finished! It is a complete redesign with new photography and design elements. I am also working on a new online store and am so excited to be launching my new pillows this month. The last thing I have to do is figure out the shipping costs… it’s driving me kinda crazy. Hopefully, I can wrap that up this week. And….lastly, I’m working on a new series of paintings. I haven’t had a chance to paint this past week, so I have some catching up to do! I am planning on offering the originals for sale on May 1st!
This piece is the second in the series. I wanted to strip away the color and try to resist painting flowers. I love the ethereal mood and the blurred edges and loss of form. I’ve been painting flowers for so long it is a real challenge not painting them! Not to worry, they will be back soon. I just thought it would be nice to push myself out of my comfort zone for this series.
