Hello my dear friends, it has been awhile. I actually can’t believe how much time has gone by since I last posted here on my sweet blog. I guess I have been living in a bubble the last several weeks. Surtex was great but, the weeks leading up to it were crazy and the weeks after it have been crazy as well. I usually thrive on being busy but the last couple of weeks I seem to have retreated and pulled back a bit. I think that is necessary every once and a while. I feel like I am on the cusp of an energy shift and that some sort of change is coming. I don’t know what it is but, change usually happens when I start feeling this way.
The last several weeks I have been busy working on product development for some amazing licensing opportunities that I can’t share with you till January. I know, soooo mean of me. I can say that I am pinching myself everyday to be partnered with these great companies…. omg, I can’t wait to show you all of the cool stuff we are working on!
On a sad note, we lost our sweet dog Bear a couple of weeks ago. One of the reasons I have retreated, for sure. It was sudden, liver failure, he was 11.
So, I guess I am in a bit of a funk. I haven’t written my Small Sweet Steps in over a month… my well feels dry. Not sure what to do about that. I am just waiting it out. I also haven’t painted much. I tried the other day and had to walk away from it. I know that will pass, it is always hard to paint after being away for awhile.
Please bear with me, I am trying to come back and get out of this weird space that I am in. Do you ever get this way?
On the brighter side! In an attempt to start creating again, I took the weekend off (first time in a long time!) and spent my time trying to learn how to embroider! I think that by trying something different, it can jolt you back to life!
My stitches are a bit wonky but, it was so much fun! Can’t wait to finish it.
I bought a new computer! This is good and bad news. My old computer was only 3 years old, I was hoping to get another year out of it but, it was soooo sluggish and having some other issues too so, I had to buy a new one. I love it but, didn’t love spending the money. The great news is that I am not grumbling over the spinning wheel anymore and am back to efficient, and fast productivity!
I recently celebrated another birthday! Yes, starting to feel my age…sigh. I treated myself to these fab glasses from Anthropologie! Yes, love. They are sitting on my painting table and look so pretty as a backdrop to my pictures, don’t you think? This piece was my first attempt at painting in a month! Not my usual but, I’ll take it! Just glad to be creating again.
Hope you are having a great start to your week! hugs.
