Do you ever feel this way? Well, you are not alone. I think it is pretty common for caring people to give too much of themselves. It is so, very important to not let it get to the point where you give up on yourself though. The scary part is that you don’t realize how much you have given up until you are very deep in the well and it is a struggle to see the light. I know this sounds like a selfish thing but, you really need to make yourself the main priority. You have to keep yourself healthy and strong so that you can care for others the way you want to. It’s easy to say you are going to make yourself the priority but then life gets in the way and you continue to do the things you are conditioned to do. You have to set up a schedule for your days and pen yourself in! Make your small sweet steps list of ways to better care for yourself. Remember, they don’t have to be big swooshing moments! Small sweet things that will make a huge difference in the long run. When they are small, they are easier to accomplish. When they are too big, you tend to push them aside because it takes too much energy to do them. Have fun with your list and start treating yourself better!
